An ongoing programme of research, together with careful monitoring of
customer needs and design trends helps direct this investment.
No-one else in the industry invests more in developing products that

outskirts of London and product category focused research teams at
factories in the UK and Europe.
Following product development,
concepts are subjected to rigorous testing and evaluation using state of
the art facilities that re-create different and challenging environments
to help ensure the products perform, every time.
The majority of
the landmark developments in electric heating have been conceived by
Dimplex which have opened up new markets. The Optiflame® real flame effect – now recognised as the world’s most
realistic electric flame - was developed in-house in 1988 and since then
has led the revolution in the electric fires market, setting new trends
and premium price levels. In installed heating, Dimplex was the first to
introduce a storage heater less than 6 inches deep, way back in 1983.
And since then, Dimplex has continued to develop a number of
initiatives, culminating in the launch of the DuoHeat radiator which
sets new levels of economy, performance, controllability and design.
Our range of commercial heating products continues to grow in strength, as
does our water heating range and following the growing interest in
renewable solutions, we can now offer the widest range of heat pumps in
the UK with the product range supported by an extensive training
programme.
In fires and portable heating we have also invested in
new technology with LED light bulbs in selected fires offering 100,000
hours of use and selected portable radiators now with oil free
technology.
