Dimplex fires are designed with saving energy in mind.

All Dimplex Optiflame® fires are 100% efficient at point of use, so no heat is wasted.

The ‘flames’ can also be used independently of the heating, so you can enjoy the cosiness of the flames on those dark but mild spring and autumn evenings without using any more electricity than you would do running two lightbulbs.

Many Dimplex fires also feature a room-sensing thermostat, which constantly measures the ambient temperature of the room, allowing you to set a room temperature for the fire to maintain. This not only means that your room will be kept at an optimum temperature with minimum effort, but also means that no unnecessary heat is produced – saving you money!

For enhanced energy saving features, our canopy free fires - the X1 and Exbury - feature one fan to power both the heater and the flame effect plus a highly accurate electronic thermostat eliminating inefficient and uncomfortable 'room temperature swing' associated with some conventional thermostats.

For further efficiency, the new Cheriton LE and the new range of LE suites feature LED bulbs which offer massive running cost savings over conventional and even compact fluorescent [CFL] bulbs. The total consumption using the Optiflame® effect in flame only mode is less than £2 per annum* whilst giving the equivalent light output of 2 x 60 watt bulbs. The expected life of our LED bulbs is also 100,000 hours or almost 55 years*.
