Grants & Funding
Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT)
The Carbon Emissions Reduction Target is a three year phased obligation on domestic energy suppliers to provide funding for measures that provide lifetime carbon savings such as the installation of ground source heat pumps for social housing and in some instances private households. The level of funding available is variable depending on the amount of CO2 that will be saved by installing the heat pump, based on the size of the property and the type heating system that is being replaced.
Through our partnership with Scottish and Southern Energy, Dimplex
ground source heat pumps can attract funding for:
Social Housing
- Replacement of LPG, oil, electric or solid fuel heating systems in existing properties
- Tenants must be in receipt of a qualifying benefit (for example Council Tax or Housing benefit) to attract higher “Priority Group” Cert funding
-
Funding levels vary dependent on house type, size and fuel system
replaced
Private Householders
-
Replacement of LPG, oil, electric or solid fuel heating systems in
existing properties
