Commissioning by Dimplex ensures that a heat pump is operating correctly, has been satisfactorily installed and is a requirement to gain extended warranty.  Dimplex extended warranty is only available for heat pump units installed by Dimplex approved installers.

How to get a heat pump unit commissioned

Commissioning should take place 14-60 days after installation.

Commission request forms can be downloaded from this website page, see below, or are available on request from the Renewables Technical Department.

Completed request forms must be sent with payment (cheques made payable to GDC Group Ltd) or purchase order* to

* Visits will not be made until payment has been received.

On receipt of the request form an engineer will make contact to arrange a date for commission. Please note only completed request forms will be processed.

After commissioning

After the commissioning visit has taken place the engineer will return the paperwork to GDC Group for our Technical Services Department to review and based on the engineers observations the installation will either:

• receive extended warranty,
• receive extended warranty with an addtional advisory note
• be refused extended warranty.

In each case the notification will be emailed to the person who requested the commission.

The refusal and advisory notes detail the reasons for failure or outline the aspects of your installation which may present a problem in the future.
