Launched in 2006, Phase 1 of the DTI’s (now DBERR) LCBP Low Carbon Buildings Programme is managed by the Energy Savings Trust and will run until June 2010. It replaces the previous Clear Skies and Solar PV grant programmes.
Open to householders across the UK (except the Channel Islands and Isle of Man), the programme is intended to demonstrate how energy efficiency and microgeneration can work hand in hand to create low carbon buildings.
To be eligible for a grant, both the product and installer must be accredited under either Clear Skies or the new UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
