RENEWABLE SOLUTIONS - SCHRI FUNDING
Scottish Community & Householder Renewables Initiative (SCHRI)
SCHRI is funded by the Scottish Executive and managed by the Energy Savings Trust, providing grants for domestic and community projects in Scotland.
Grants are available for a variety of renewable energy technologies across 3 funding streams. To be eligible for a grant, both the product and installer must be accredited under either the SCHRI scheme or the new UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme.

Grants available for Dimplex products
1. Householders
- Dimplex ground source heat pumps: 30% of installation costs up to a maximum of £4000
- Dimplex air source heat pumps: 30% of installation costs up to a maximum of £4000
- A household can qualify for up to two grants, provided they are for different technologies
2. Community Groups
Dimplex ground source and air source heat pumps: up to 100% of the
capital cost of a project to a maximum of £100,000 is available,
including the costs of installing renewable energy systems.
3. Builders / Developers
To help encourage the installation of renewable energy technologies in new housing developments, SCHRI allows builders, developers and architects to apply for grants on behalf of future owners of houses they are building.
This applies to small companies building one-off homes, and to larger volume developers building multiple properties in the one development.
Dimplex ground source and air source heat pumps are eligible under the Builders/Developers stream of the SCHRI programme.
