New for this season, Dimplex has launched the Fortrose Optimyst electric stove. The large cast iron-style design boasts a timeless finish that will create a wonderful focal point in any room.

The Fortrose is based on one of Dimplex’s most popular designs but with a stylish graphite and metal flecked exterior to create the authenticity of a solid fuel stove, but with the added convenience of being electric.

Featuring Optimyst, the world’s most realistic electric flame and smoke effect, the flame and smoke effect is fully adjustable from ‘roaring flames’ to gentle glowing embers, and there is a remote control for instant flame and heat from the comfort of your sofa. Plus, it can also be used independently of heat, meaning you can enjoy the calming effect of flickering flames all year round – ideal for when you want to cosy down without the need for heat.

The Optimyst effect uses patented state-of-the-art technology to create an authentic 3D flame and smoke effect. The effect is created using established ultrasonic water mist technology to generate a cold, completely safe, mist.  As the mist rises through the logs, light reflects against the water creating the most realistic flame and smoke effect ever seen in an electric fire.

The freestanding stove also features a 2kW heater to keep you warm on the coldest of nights whilst the thermostatic controls mean you can set your fire to produce heat when the room drops to a certain temperature, helping to maintain the comfort in your home.
