A low carbon technology for heating hot water, designed to be installed within a home or dwelling itself.

The construction industry is changing. Regulations and regional requirements are moving us ever closer to achieving nearly zero energy buildings (NZEBs). This is resulting in the need for alternative solutions to meet lower carbon targets. The level of these targets, combined with other regional requirements such as aesthetics, is increasingly seeing traditional solutions not meeting the requirements for new developments.

How it works

The Edel Hot Water Heat Pump consists of a ducted system to supply external air to an air source heat pump mounted on top of a water cylinder. The heat pump collects energy from the air and converts this into heat, which is then transferred to the water within the cylinder, creating hot water.

Why choose an Edel Hot Water Heat Pump?

Reducing dwelling emissions

Edel has the potential to dramatically decrease a dwellings emissions rate while counting as a renewables contribution.

Efficient energy use

With efficiencies up to 324%, Edel produces significantly more energy than it draws through the meter. These high efficiencies are also supported with user friendly and intuitive controls, including a boost mode for periods of high-water consumption.

A viable HVAC solution

The Edel is currently specified alongside direct acting panel heaters complimentary to Edel’s hot water system. This Edel-panel heater solution has been specified in residential projects across the UK, with many specifiers returning to it in subsequent projects.

Case study

Island Heat Wave

Upgrading his outdated immersion heater to a Dimplex hot water cylinder was all it took for Adrian Hadley to cut his electricity bill by almost 80 per cent - saving him nearly £300 a year.

Edel Hot Water Heat Pump - RF

Edel RF heat pump cylinders are available in 170L, 200L and 270L capacity models with a highly efficient heat pump which produces domestic hot water effectively and reduces dwelling emissions.
