Quantum hot water cylinder

Dimplex’s Quantum electric cylinders use off-peak electricity to deliver reliable, cost-effective hot water, working directly from the mains supply of water to ensure mains pressure from all outlets in the home. They enable better planning of water usage thanks to the market leading controls, which tell users at a glance how much hot water is available to use. The Quantum cylinder is the ideal partner to the Quantum HHR Storage Heater for a complete central heat and hot water system that can be controlled remotely with Dimplex Control, or as a standalone hot water system for the electrically heated home.

ECSd direct hot water cylinder

The extensive ECSd range of unvented system hot water cylinders, provide efficient and economical, hot water delivery throughout the home with either direct electric heating or with a coil for indirect heating. Offering low running costs, reliable hot water and fantastic flow rates, ECSd ensures consistent water pressure hot water for simultaneous supply of water to all rooms. With no cold water storage tank required, ECSd also frees up valuable living space.

Electric Water Heating Safety

The Hot Water Associations (HWA) Charter puts in place all the elements required to ensure that hot water products are supplied in a way that they meet the terms set out in the Code of Practice. The Charter receives widespread support from heating appliance manufacturers and the suppliers of related products. It is managed and promoted by the HWA.

As a chartered member, Dimplex has been successfully audited by the HWA in the last year and adheres to the following code of practice:

  • To supply fit for purpose products clearly and honestly described
  • To supply products that meet, or exceed appropriate standards and building and water regulations:
  • To provide pre and post sales technical support
  • To provide clear and concise warranty details to customers

All Dimplex water heaters comply with the appropriate regulations and are supplied with all necessary safety kits.

FAQ

Unvented hot water cylinders heat up water directly from the mains and therefore are not reliant on an external cold water supply. Because of this, unvented hot water cylinders provide an ideal solution for buildings where limited space needs to be taken into consideration. Directly heating up water from the mains supply, unvented hot water cylinders also remove the risk of an external water tank freezing in the colder months of the year. This meathod of water heating also allows more flexibility as the where a hot water cylinder can be installed in a building.

Direct hot water cylinders can produce hot water at a much faster rate than a hot water system that relies on an external boiler or immersion heater, as they heat the water directly from the mains source, this can also help increase the energy efficiency of a building.

A correctly specified direct hot water cylinder can also provide higher water pressure levels, making it ideal for buildings with higher demmands of hot water like homes with multiple bathrooms.

As well as help with increasing the energy efficiency of a building, a Dimplex Quantum hot water cylinder can be connected to a Dimplex Hub (sold separately) and controlled alongside multiple Dimplex heating solutions using the Dimplex Control app. The app helps you control and monitor your heating solutions within the building individually or grouped into zones for increased convenience.

Dimplex Quantum hot water cylinders also use off-peak electricity to heat and store hot water for use in peak times without having to pay peak time energy rates for your hot water.
