Q-Rad is our most intelligent, Lot 20 compliant electric radiator yet. The slim electric radiator design complements the Quantum range of high heat retention storage heaters and can be used along with the Edel hot water heat pump for a complete smart electric home heating solution. Switching to Q-Rad gives you complete control over your home heating, giving you adaptability and affordability with its cutting edge functionality.

How does it work?
Q-Rad uses hybrid dual-element technology, combining convection and radiant panel heating. It uses one or both of these heat sources automatically to maintain an accurate room temperature. Q-Rad calculates the time needed to heat a room and the convective element begins by operating at full power, then cycles the convective element between full and reduced power output until the target temperature is reached. To maintain the target temperature, Q-Rad then cycles the convective and radiant elements on and off as required.
Functionality
Featuring our intuitive Cap-Sense controls, now familiar across our latest panel heater ranges, the new Q-Rad provides more intelligent software functions than ever, helping you to save money and increasing control over your heating comfort. Q-Rad has three customisable heating timers, each with four time and temperature settings for each day of the week. You can also temporarily adjust the heat levels manually if you prefer, to give instant heat when you need it – day and night.
Boost your comfort
The newly added ‘Boost’ function provides a more specific temporary boost of heat outside of timed heating periods, in addition to the existing ‘Advance’ function. An improved ‘Away’ mode allows for a return time and/or date to be set, allowing the heater to maintain a lower background temperature to avoid mould or damp, before returning to regular timed operation upon your return. Additional features include PIN-code locking with customisable rule-sets, ‘setback’ temperatures, frost protection, and more!
Adaptive start for continuous comfort
Adaptive Start is Q-Rad’s self-learning, delayed start function. This feature learns the thermal characteristics of a room then determines how long the appliance needs to operate to reach target temperature according to room size, heat losses, prevailing weather conditions and so on. By measuring the heat-up and cool-down times of the room, and how they vary with external factors, the heater works out when to start heating to reach the user-defined target temperature at a specified time. This intelligent function continually adapts to the current environment, minimising wasted energy and it can deliver cost savings for users.

Residential Housing
Q-Rad’s sleek design and traditional wet radiator styling are ideal for any room in a new build house or apartment. Homeowners will love the good looks, intelligent controls and high energy efficiency. Q-Rad electric radiator provides a feeling of warmth similar to that of a traditional wet radiator. Q-Rad comes in different sizes and outputs and can be used in any room in a modern home including bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and smaller spaces. It can also be installed in combination with the Edel hot water heat pump for a full smart electric heating and hot water system that can be connected to the Dimplex Control Hub (sold separately) and operated via the Dimplex Control app on a smart device.
Residential Refurbishment
Q-Rad’s sleek design and traditional wet radiator styling are ideal for residential home refurbishments, offering a cost-effective and energy-efficient heating solution. It is easy to install and weighs less than equivalent oil or ceramic radiators. Q-Rad was designed to operate as a standalone heater, or as part of a smart heating system that works with Quantum high heat retention storage heaters and the Edel hot water heat pump. Q-Rad can be used in any living space in a house or an apartment. When purchased together with a Dimplex Control Hub, it can be operated via a smart device using Dimplex Control app for complete user convenience.
Social Housing
The Q-Rad electric radiator is an ideal choice for the social housing sector. It has been designed to operate as a standalone heater, or as part of a smart heating system for highly efficient delivery of hot water and space heating. When purchased with the Dimplex Control Hub, the whole heating system can be operated via a smart device on the go allowing for easy control, energy usage insight, and servicing. Q-Rad can be used across the social housing properties including living spaces, bedrooms, hallways and communal areas.
Light Commercial
The sleek and stylish Q-Rad electric radiator features a dual element technology delivering a mix of convective and radiant heat to provide an efficient heating option for commercial premises, including offices, meeting rooms, retail spaces and more. Intelligent heating features such as Open Window Detection and Adaptive Start, along with PIN-code locking, are ideal features for communal areas. Take Control with Dimplex
For the first time, Quantum (RF models only) can now be remotely controlled via the internet using the Dimplex Control smartphone app*. With Dimplex Control, you have total command of your supported Dimplex products, anytime, anywhere. The app allows you to control and configure your heaters or hot water cylinders, individually or by zone, and easily track the energy usage of each.
