Glen Dimplex Heating and Ventilation will present at the CIBSE East Midlands & ASHRAE UK Midlands Chapter Joint Event for professional engineers and architects. This is a prime opportunity to hear from some of the most respected authorities in the heating and ventilation and building services engineering sectors, and learn about some of the most cutting-edge technology to date in the UK.

President of CIBSE, Peter Y Wong, will be presenting, followed by Matthew Maskell, applications engineer for Glen Dimplex Heating and Ventilation. President of ASHRAE UK Midlands, Mick Holland, will also be in attendance.

CIBSE President Peter Wong’s talk will set out the principles that will guide him through his presidential year, and the key priorities he has in his time as CIBSE leader. He is the first CIBSE President from the Hong Kong Branch and as such brings an international perspective to his talk and outlook. This is a key opportunity to hear some of the goals he has for the upcoming year.

Specialising in the application of heating and cooling technologies within buildings, Matthew has been at the heart of the development of Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation’s latest product innovation: the Zeroth Energy System. Shown to cut energy bills by up to 50% in residential buildings, this state-of-the-art residential system has taken 18 months to develop and is the first of its kind in the UK. His presentation will cover first principle explanations as to why some systems fail to meet expected performance and he will present this alternate type of heat network design using heat pump technology.

Founded in 1894, ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry. CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers) on the other hand acts as the standard setter and authority on building services engineering.  Both are respected and authoritative voices in the field, and we are thrilled to be presenting alongside them.
